THE MURDER THAT NEVER WAS:
On Saturday night the 1st April 1967, the police answered a 999 call and found the body of a labourer Joe Smith aged 55, of Ombersley Worcester, near a church in Kidderminster.
A murder hunt was launched and the next day a man was arrested and charged with murder, until the pathologist told the police that the “murder victim” had in fact died from natural causes.
